Mozilla Firefox Metro Preview released for Windows 8

Mozilla Firefox Metro Preview released for Windows 8

Microsoft is all set to launch their latest operating system Windows 8 later this month.

Google and Mozilla have been both working on launching Metro editions of their Chrome and Firefox browsers.

We have already seen Chrome builds designed for Metro. Now we have a Firefox Metro edition available for download.

The company seems to be using the user interface from their Google Android Tablet edition for this version.

Mozilla said:

The preview includes a new Metro style Firefox Start page, support for Firefox Sync, Metro touch and swipe gestures, integration with Windows 8 “charms”, and a simple but powerful Australis interface that is streamlined, modern, and beautiful. Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be adding more features, tightening up Windows integration, improving performance and responsiveness, and finishing up all the necessary work to deliver a first class Firefox experience for Windows 8.
