National Telecom Policy 2012 define broadband as 2mbps!

Indian government has given its approval to the new National Telecom Policy.

One of the coolest aspects of this new policy is that broadband speed has been redefined to 2mbps. It has been stuck at 256kbps for a long time now.

There are some other nice aspects of this new policy which should benefit millions of telecom users in the country:

Roaming charges would be removed.
Mobile Number Portability between different circles!
Unified licensing for operators
