Netflix has already launched their official mobile app for the Windows 8 platform.

Their Metro app is now available from the Windows Store and can be downloaded by folks using the RTM edition.

The company has created this app from scratch focused on the design principles set by Microsoft for Windows 8 apps.

The app is also using Windows 8 technologies enabling better performance and improved battery life on laptops as it uses hardware acceleration when required.
