Amazon Web Services launches a SDK for .Net

Amazon has some good news for the .Net developers.

They have now made available an SDK that would make it easier for them to develop and deploy applications on the Amazon Web Services.

Interestingly, Amazon has launched this new SDK just as Microsoft has begun promoting their own Windows Azure cloud platform.

Amazon said that they launched this SDK to meet the demands of their customers not as a response to Azure.

Amazon said: “Using the SDK, developers will be able to build solutions for AWS infrastructure services, including Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service), Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud), and Amazon SimpleDB. With the AWS SDK for .Net, developers get started in minutes with a single, downloadable package complete with Visual Studio project templates, the AWS .Net library, C# code samples, and documentation.”
