CherryPal Africa is a USD 99 computer!
CherryPal has surprised the industry by announcing a computer that costs just USD 99.
They have named it CherryPal Africa.
The company is now taking orders for this low cost computing machine on their website.
CherryPal Africa has been described as “small, slow, sufficient”.
CherryPal representative Max Seybold spoke about this technological marvel: “At CherryPal, we’re extremely conscious of the so-called ‘digital divide’. We’re constantly looking for ways to bridge that gap, and the CherryPal Africa is a huge step in the right direction. Plus, everyone who has tried it has absolutely loved it!”
This computing device is available in two variants. You can order it with either Windows CE or Linux.
It is powered with a 400 MHz processor that is around the same computing power as some of the smartphones we have today in the market. It also comes with 256MB of RAM with 2GB of storage.
Network support is offered through 802.11b/g and 10/100 Ethernet. It also features two USB 1.1 ports and a single USB 2.0 port.
