Operation Chokehold was not a major success but still did a good job
AT&T confirmed that they did not see any major damage due to the much talked about operation chokehold.
Operation Chokehold was announced by Fake Steve on his blog as he aimed to get enough iPhone users in the US market to take down the AT&T 3G network by running data intensive applications.
The idea was to highlight the misery of a typical iPhone owner in the country who continue to suffer due to poor network service provided by AT&T.
It made enough news on the web highlighting these problems. Experts believe that it might have helped in other ways also. Businesses relying on AT&T 3G services had enough time to prepare for this operation and they might now have a reliable backup strategy in case the network actually goes down for a while.
