Verizon forcing their customers to use Microsoft Bing!
Verizon has issued software updates for several smartphone models on their network which forces their customers to use Microsoft Bing search engine on their devices.
Microsoft Bing becomes the default search engine on the browser installed on these devices.
A company representative confirmed this new development: “We’re a proud supporter of Microsoft’s Bing search engine. On a couple of select smartphones (Storm 2 the most prominent), we’ve changed the [Verizon Wireless]-supplied web menu to make Bing the default search engine.”
Microsoft and Verizon have a big deal for mobile devices connected to the Bing search engine. Verizon users are however not amused with this ‘implementation’.
