Nintendo has made the Wii Mini console official. It has been priced at USD 100. It would be launched in Canada next month.

It is a crippled version of the Wii gaming console. It does not feature GameCube compatibility. Internet access has also been removed.

Consider this a low end Wii console that can be used for playing the games designed for the Wii console offline.

It is not clear if Nintendo would sell it in other markets as well.
