Nokia Chairman Jorma Ollila resigns from his position

Jorma Ollila has just announced his resignation as the chairman of the world’s largest mobile phone company.

He spoke about his decision to quit:

Every board chairman would like to be able to leave his successors a flourishing company. I would have hoped to do that.

Looks like he too has realized that the company has taken absurd decisions in the recent past and things are not going to get better in the future. Nokia’s collaboration with Microsoft has been a disaster until now though they promise big things for the future.

For now, you are stuck with a bunch of Windows Phone based devices and an exceptional Symbian based model Nokia 808 PureView which is apparently the most impressive product they have launched in a long time.
