Nokia has announced their own eBook reader app for their Windows Phone devices.
Nokia Reading would soon be available for the Nokia Lumia range of devices.
They are working with world’s biggest publishers, including Penguin and Hachette, and Pearson to build their own catalog of eBooks and audiobooks.
The company said:
Using a single, simple app you can choose your own favorite authors, or select bestselling novels and the top local books in your own language. If you’re not sure that you’ll like a book, Nokia Reading lets you browse some sample pages before you buy. Or you can download and read one of the thousands of classic works of literature that will be available for free.
Nokia said that the app would be released for Nokia Lumia device owners in UK, France, Italy, Spain, Russia and Germany in April.
