Peep show series is a television program that was written by two writers that Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain. In addition to this there were other writers and at the same time actors, i.e., Mitchell and Webb. This program was first broadcasted in the year 2003 in one of the popular TV channel by that time, channel 4. This program was then continuously broadcasted up to 2015. 2010 was the market to be the best longest running comedy for the peep show series. In the show, viewers followed Mitchell and Webb who were two dysfunctional friends who shared on building in one of the cities in London. Mitchell is seen to be unsocial while Webb, on the other hand, is seen to be a juvenile slacker and talentless with no work and lives in Mitchell’s room. This show continued to gain fame year after the other. Although the show never gained much in commercial, it was seen to be one of the most influential T.V programs to many viewers. in 2013 the channel announced that the 9th episode was going to be the last for the show.

Synopsis of the Episode
In American viewership, England has always had a reputation for off the wall, sometimes negative and almost nihilistic comedy where nothing seems ever really to go right for the characters on the shows. Peep show has found great success back in England and has run for six seasons since the year 2003, with the seventh season having been ordered for later in 2010. The show revolves around one of England’s most famous comedy duos, Robert Mitchell and David Webb as roommates or flatmates as an English person would say. The show centers around the socially awkward Mark, played by David Mitchell, as a loan manager at a fictional credit union and Jeremy, played by Robert Webb, as an unemployed but somewhat happy go, lucky musician. One episode in particular, of the show, features scenes in a courtroom and people who may even be an Allen bankruptcy attorney or an Allen, bankruptcy lawyer.
In one particular episode of the series, Jeremy is called to do jury duty; a discovery made while he is sitting at the kitchen table watching cartoons and drawing on instead of opening the mail. When Mark sees the letter requesting Jeremy to do jury duty rather than him, he is shocked and tells Jeremy that he isn’t logical enough as a thinker to be a jury member and reminds him that he doesn’t even know exactly what happens in the film Ocean’s 11.
When he finally gets to his jury duty, Jeremy is horribly bored and sleeps through most of the arguments from the legal teams and comes in with a preconceived notion that the defendant is guilty of her crimes just because she looks like the type. But, while on a break from arguments in the cafeteria of the courthouse, Jeremy meets the defendant in real life and shares a few jokes with her before exchanging phone numbers and asking her out for a few drinks, which is of course against the law both in America and England. Then, Jeremy changes his tune and is the one person holding out against a guilty verdict and feels she couldn’t have done it.
After going out for drinks, Jeremy questions the defendant about her crimes, and she replies that she didn’t do it, but that she cheats other people all the time and even goes so far as to steal some money from somebody’s wallet with Jeremy right next to her. Following this rash of petty crimes Jeremy becomes scared of the girl and thinks that she’ll make him do her evil bidding with her for the rest of his life if she stays out of jail.
At the last deliberation of the jury, Jeremy comes clean to the other jurors that he went out with the defendant and realizes that while she didn’t commit this crime, she has committed others and gives an impassioned speech about how they’re responsible for locking her away. Lastly, to conclude the episode, a voiceover of Jeremy says that justice was served in the court, which is quickly changed to say that real justice hadn’t been done, but what he wanted happened which is the same thing.
This series has been considered to be one of the critical cults on the tv shows since it was started. The fist viewers of the series said that they had seen the series to be promising shortly and it was to be favorite to many. Since its start, peep show had won various titles for instance in 2007, the show won “The Best Returning British Tv Sitcom, ” and in the next, the program won the best comedy of the year, and this was in 2008. Despite the low viewing, peep show has been gaining popularity series after the other this has been witnessed with the increase in sales of DVDS on the series. This has continued to rise due to the success of Mitchell and Webb in their program at BBC, their advertisement with Apple has also contributed to the famousness of them.
Peep show series is also found in a book called “peep show”. In this book it has all the episode that includes from the first five episodes and also the introduction information about the two actors and writers, i.e., Mitchell and Webb. This book was released in 2008, and it celebrates the work of this writers.
