Held for the eighth consecutive year, these awards acknowledged companies and individuals that have pushed the boundaries of excellence – rising above competition and demonstrating outstanding performance in the ICT sector in India.

Honors were conferred across the following domains: Enterprise Data Services, Mobile & Wireless Services, Unified Communications, IP Telephony, IPTV, Mobile VAS, OSS / BSS, Passive Infrastructure, Virtualization, Conferencing, Contact Center Applications, Enterprise Application, Security, SOA, Data Center and Managed Services, WAN Optimization, Application Delivery Controller, Smart Phones and Storage.

Leading names in technology converged on a single platform to compete for the most coveted titles in the ICT sector. Benchmarked against the highest standards of measurement criteria, the recipients indeed represent the best in class.

Congratulating this year’s award recipients, Mr. Anand Rangachary, Managing Director, Frost & Sullivan, South Asia and Middle East, said, “These awards are in recognition of the continuous growth and resilience that the IT and Telecom companies in India have exhibited in the times of economic uncertainty, through the best practices that they have institutionalized over the period of time. The qualification to these awards, not only calls for a well defined objective and strategy, but a continuous commitment to evolution, excellence and contribution to their customers, business ecosystem and the economy as a whole.”

Players who received more that one award include, IBM, Bharti Airtel, Cisco, Avaya, Microsoft, Srilanka Telecom and SAP.

Frost & Sullivan follows a rigorous measurement-based methodology to short-list and select leading companies in South Asia for each Award category. Frost & Sullivan’s analyst team short-listed companies for each award category, based on detailed research on market performance. Additionally, interviews were conducted with key personnel of short-listed companies and key customers to substantiate, validate and update information collected about each company. The information on each company is then consolidated and a competitive matrix is prepared for judging. The final list of award recipients is announced at the awards banquet.

The banquet was attended by the who’s who of the Indian ICT industry, right from Top Management of leading companies - CEO, CTO, CSO, CFO, COO, Directors to Senior Management to Investors to Venture Capitalists.
