Renault has said that all their future launches would feature a diesel option as well.

The company is responding to the growing demand for diesel engine powered cars in the Indian market.

Petrol prices are at a record high which makes diesel engine options a lucrative option for people who cover long distances on a daily basis.

Renault India said: “Every model which we launch next year will have a diesel version. Our focus is on diesel cars.”

Renault India is scheduled to launch three new models in India next year. Renault Pulse hatchback would be launched at Auto Expo 2012. Renault Duster would be launched in the second half of next year. And a new sedan model is also planned for launch before the end of 2012.
