The Sunday Times has reported that RIM is considering a new business strategy that would see it split into two different business operations.
One unit would focus on development and manufacturing of new Blackberry smartphones and Tablet PCs.
The other unit would focus on their messaging and other mobile services.
Report also said that both of the units could be sold to an interested party provided the offering is good. Amazon and Facebook could be interested in the hardware division while Google could be interested in the software and services division.
