Google has now responded to allegations made by News Corp boss Rupert Murdoch through his Twitter account.

Murdoch claimed that Google was a piracy leader as it linked to tons of copyrighted material on the web.

He further said that Google streams movies for free through YouTube and make money from ads.

Google said in a response: “This is just nonsense. Last year we took down 5 million infringing Web pages from our search results and invested more than $60 million in the fight against bad ads…We fight pirates and counterfeiters every day.”
