Canaccord Genuity analyst T. Michael Walkley claims that Samsung Galaxy S III is currently selling more units in the US market compared to the Apple iPhone 4S.

His claim is based on data collected from retailers though it is hard to state without official numbers released by the two companies.

In any case, this is not shocking considering consumers interested in purchasing the iPhone have delayed their decision as the next iPhone launch is just weeks away.

In comparison, Galaxy S III was just recently launched and there is a lot of interest in this phone.

Apple is likely to announce the next generation iPhone sometime next week and it could go on sale later this month.
