It was revealed yesterday that a bunch of Samsung devices are affected by a very stupid bug that can result in a hard reset of the phone by just visiting a web page with a single line of code.

Apparently the browser processed the reset code without any confirmation from within the browser.

Samsung has already released a software update for their Galaxy S III smartphone that fixes this flaw.

A patch is being prepared for Galaxy S II that should be out in a couple of days’ time. It is not clear how many other (and older) models are also affected by this bug.
