Verizon has started selling the Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone on their network and reports say that the owners are already getting their first firmware update.

Google is delivering the Android 4.0.2 update to these customers.

This update is said to deliver a bunch of enhancements including:

Improved mobile hotspot with VPN
Louder audio in Google Maps Navigation
Optimized 3G and 4G connectivity

Looks like Verizon was waiting for Google to prepare this update for the launch!
