Google has finally launched the unlocked edition of Galaxy Nexus in the US market. It is priced at USD 400. Excellent deal considering they had sold the previous Nexus phones for around USD 550!
It is being sold through the Google Play Store. The page does not open outside the US market.
Samsung is already selling this model in the European markets. It was supposed to be launched in India in December and then March but the launch never took place.
We expect Samsung to launch it in India in the coming weeks. Perhaps a bit before bringing the Galaxy S III.
Verizon and Sprint already have the CDMA edition of the Galaxy Nexus on sale in the US market.
This unlocked version is compatible with both AT&T and T-Mobile USA.
