Engadget has reported that the owners of Verizon edition of Samsung Galaxy Nexus are now able to install Google Wallet mobile app on their phones without requiring a hack.

Verizon did not ship this phone with the app because they have their own competing mobile wallet platform.

Verizon is yet to make an official statement if they have changed their policy regarding this.

So it is not clear if this is a glitch from the company or they have indeed decided to let their customers use Google Wallet app on their phones.
