Other than Japan, anime is used to refer specifically to animation from Japan so it is specifically a Japanese term. Personally, anime are my favorite kind of animations — they are so colorful in graphics, have vibrant characters, and fantastical themes. Out of the vast array of anime’s, one popular of them is The Seven Deadly Sins that is commonly being used and Known to be common.

Seven Deadly Sins TV Adaptation
Netflix was the one that licensed The Seven Deadly Sins for English release. All 24 episodes were released on November 1, 2015 in both subtitled and English dub formats. The television special, labeled as “season 2″, has also been licensed by Netflix and was released on supposed to release on February 17, 2017. But the released content is actually just 4 episodes with 24 minutes in length.
Those 24 minutes episodes were actually from “the Signs of Holy War” which is a mini-series that is considered as a sequel to the Season 1 episodes. This means that indeed Netflix will still be showing an extension of Season 1. On February 14, 2017, Funimation announced that they acquired the first anime for home video distribution for US and Canada and will release the series on Blu-ray and DVD later this year.
Plot
The legend of The Seven Deadly Sins takes place in an ancient kingdom where humans and non-humans exist. Prior to the events of the anime’s first season, a catastrophe occurred, allegedly caused by a mischievous group of hyper-powerful knights, who embody people’s greatest flaws, and who go by the name of Seven Deadly Sins. With the public condemning the knights, the powerful group just disappeared.
Ten years into the story — a coup by the holy Knights results in losing of the Royal Family, except for one. Princess Elizabeth, who is the only one who has escaped the coup and goes into a quest. Her mission is to find Seven Deadly Sins, curb the coup and rescue the Royal Family.
While such scenario or plot has been several times before, The Seven Deadly Sins is none the less able to capture the attention and hearts of viewers through its compelling, classic action-filled story line.
Will season two get a reboot?
It is still indefinite whether “The Seven Deadly Sins” season 2 will be a sequel or else. As a writer and illustrator of the manga, Nakaba Suzuki has mentioned that he has plans to release three different story arcs for the manga. Each of them is rumored to be 100 chapters of 300 chapters in total. However, it is expected that the 2nd season may introduce the series’ seventh character, even though he hasn’t made an appearance yet in the manga.
On the other hand if “The Seven Deadly Sins Season Second” follows manga, viewers are likely to see a new group of enemies. These will be collectively known as “The Ten Commandments.” These characters belong to the Demon Clan, which was resurrected right after the end of the first season. “The Seven Deadly Sins” fans can anticipate an action-packed season two if the anime follows the manga.
Until the Anime enthusiasts are already speculating on the season 2 plot. Many are presuming more fighting scenes between “The Seven Deadly Sins” and the Demon Clan, also the Ten Commandments. Some are looking forward to knowing what sin did Meliodas did and the possibility of new characters in the series.
Talking About More Speculations
The season two of the very popular TV anime series “Seven Deadly Sins” is still to be aired in the US. It is directed by Kinji Yoshimoto — the success of the four episode Original Video Animation “The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War ” compelled the studio A1 pictures to take this decision.
The fans in Japan recently viewed the four episodes OVA entitled “The Seven Deadly Sins: The Sign of Holy War” which aired from August 28 to September 18 on JNN. This has also been aired in the US on Netflix.
The telecast date of Season 2 is still unknown, but rumors are rife that it will hit the small screen in 2017. The storyline is expected to take off from where the original video animation concluded. The focus still will be on Meliodas, the protagonist of Season 1. The main characters of Season 2 are expected to be Elizabeth Liones, Gowther, Merlin, Ban, the King/Harlequin, and Diane.
Whilst the upcoming ‘Seven Deadly Sins Season 2’ is still going to be directed by TomokazuTokoro, and is will going to be written by YukinoAyana, there are reports that the upcoming ‘Seven Deadly Sins Season 2’ won’t stay loyal to the storyline of the manga.
