Skoda revamping their strategy in India

Skoda India has revealed plans to change their strategy in the Indian market.

The company said that they aim to localize Skoda Fabia further and place it in the budget hatchback segment in the Indian market.

Skoda Fabia was originally priced very high which ensured that sales were bad. Pricing is slightly better today but it still is a pricier option compared to rival models.

Skoda said:

The immediate focus is to create the right organizational set up and changing or rather improving our perception (in the marketplace) on cost of ownership. An all new highly localized Fabia will be cornerstone of that strategy.

Skoda is also working on reducing the cost of ownership of their models. The idea is to offer better value to the customer and create an image of a brand with affordable cars with low running costs.
