Facebook testing reply to messages through email

Social networking giant Facebook has confirmed that they are now testing a new feature with a select group of users.

Facebook is now allowing these users to reply to conversations through email.

They can simply reply to an email that contains a message (status update or conversation going on Facebook) to post it on the stream.

This would result in some loss of page-views for the service but it is a major convenience for their users.

This would work in environments where Facebook access is blocked. This feature is similar to how IntenseDebate allows you to respond to blog comments using just email.
