Lonely Planet launches Augmented Reality apps for 10 US cities
Lonely Planet is the latest player in the market to launch augmented reality mobile apps.
They have collaborated with Mobilizy for this project. At the moment, apps for around 10 US cities are available for USD 5 each.
Augmented reality apps are best used for travel purposes and Lonely Planet is trying to accomplish just that.
It remains to be seen how popular these apps become in the retail market. USD 5 is a rather high price for a mobile app that is related to one city alone.
