Blackberry Playbook has not been a success for the company. We have already seen RIM selling it at heavy discounts to clear old stocks.

Research in Motion has released a new beta update of Playbook OS 2.1 for the users who have registered for it. This is a solid update with a bunch of new functionalities:

This new model is likely to be powered with a 1.5GHz dual core processor and would also feature support for NFC.

RIM is set to release an update for their BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet PC.
This update would disable the ability to side load Android apps on the PlayBook.
The company said that this has become necessary to prevent piracy of paid Android apps.
Research in Motion has confirmed that their Playbook Tablet PC would get the Blackberry 10 software update which it is released later this year.
Blackberry 10 would power their next generation smartphone models. Playbook is currently powered with
MoboTap has released their Dolphin Browser for the Blackberry Playbook on the Blackberry App World.
Dolphin is already one of the most popular third party web browsers on the Google Android platform.
