Google Sesame lets you login to Google without typing in your password!

Google has made available a cool new feature that would help you log into their network on a public machine. You do not need to enter any password. This is perfect for a public computer which is hard to trust because of the possibility of keyloggers installed on it.

The process is simple. You would require having a smartphone with a QR Code scanner. And you would have to be logged in properly on Google on the phone.

You need to open this special URL: https://accounts.google.com/sesame

It would show you a QR code. Scan this code using your phone. It would give you a special link. Click on it to open it in a browser where you are already logged in on Google.

Once Google has verified everything on your phone, it would automatically log you in on the machine. The page showing the QR code would redirect to your Gmail or iGoogle account (you can pick this from the phone’s browser).

We played around with it on our Android smartphone. Worked brilliantly. It should work on any smartphone platform as long as you can scan a QR code and are logged in on the default mobile browser on that device.
