Converting an image changes its file format between PNG, JPG and WebP. Add an image, pick the target format, and download. It runs entirely in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

Which format to pick

Use WebP for the web (smallest, keeps transparency), JPG for photos where size matters, and PNG when you need lossless quality or a transparent background. Converting to JPG fills any transparency with white.

FAQ

Should I convert my image to PNG, JPG, or WebP?Use JPG for photographs where small size matters, PNG for logos, screenshots, sharp text, or anything needing transparency, and WebP when you want smaller files than JPG or PNG at similar quality. WebP is the modern all-rounder for the web; JPG is the safest for universal compatibility.
Why did my transparent PNG get a white background after converting to JPG?JPG does not support transparency, so any transparent areas are filled, usually with white, when you convert. If you need to keep a transparent background, convert to PNG or WebP instead.
Does converting from JPG to PNG restore lost quality? No. PNG is lossless, so it preserves exactly what is in the JPG, but it cannot recover detail the JPG already discarded. You just get a larger lossless file of the same-looking image, not a sharper one.
Is my image uploaded during conversion? No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so the file stays on your device and nothing is stored. You can convert sensitive images without them ever leaving your computer.
