Twitter launched their brand new mobile apps for the Google Android and Apple iOS platforms yesterday. The new app is a major update though not everyone is impressed.

On the iPhone at least, there is a cool alternative in the form of Tweetbot which is hugely popular for its clean intuitive user interface.

The company is hoping to get more users by offering their app for just 99 cents through the Apple App Store for a limited time period.
