Twitter has updated TweetDeck for the web and Google Chrome with support for new features added to their platform.
TweetDeck now shows the profile header images on user profiles. It also now showcases link summaries for supported services when a tweet includes a relevant link.
The developers spoke about this update:
We added support for the exciting new profile header images that launched last week. These images now appear on profiles in TweetDeck, where a user has chosen to upload one via twitter.com or Twitter for iPhone, iPad and Android. We have also improved the detail view of a Tweet to now include the same article summary that can be seen on twitter.com and mobile apps where the Tweet contains a link from major websites.
