Twitter has released their latest updated API.

Twitter API v1.1 is now available for developers to use.

It is based on the changes Twitter announced in the recent days which has caused quite a controversy on the internet.

The company said:

A few weeks ago, we outlined many of the v1.1 changes, and with today’s release, we’ve also updated the Developer Rules of the Road (see a summary of the most important policies here) and Developer Display Requirements.

Developers of third party apps are already working to comply with the new requirements laid down by the company.
