Online sources are claiming that future updates to official Twitter mobile apps would remove support for third party photo sharing services like Twitpic and yFrog.

The company of course has their own photo sharing service powered by Photobucket.

This would be a shame really because of the limitations of their own picture uploading service. It resize large images making them illegible in some cases.

Twitter has already stopped showing names of clients used to post individual tweets. Their latest API update is already designed to tighten control over third party apps and services.

They are not making the developers community happier with these changes.
