Twitter has updated their mobile apps for both Apple iOS and Google Android.

This latest version comes loaded with support of some new enhancements:

1. Tweets with links from supported services would now feature richer information like page title, excerpt and possibly the highlighted image from the article itself.
2. Both apps now support Twitter Events like the one focused on NASCAR racing.
3. Both the apps also now support improved search experience. This feature was recently rolled out on their web app.
4. Users can now set the app to send push notifications for updates and retweets from select users. This feature can be enabled from the action button on their profiles.
