Ubuntu 12.04 would offer more flexible Unity

OMG! Ubuntu! has been doing a bunch of cool articles on the upcoming changes to the Unity component of Ubuntu.

They have just reported that Ubuntu 12.04 would most likely allow users to disable an annoying feature of Unity… The apps for download recommendation.

This section highlight apps that are available for download from the Ubuntu Software Center. Most of the times, users click on the showcased icons accidentally breaking the work flow.

Ubuntu 12.04 would offer more flexible Unity

The option to disable this section is available through the Configuration Editor in the test releases of this edition of Ubuntu which is scheduled to arrive in April this year.

Remains to be seen if Canonical would make it more accessible to the end user.
