Verizon discontinues carrier subsidized Tablet PCs on their network

Verizon is no longer subsidizing the costs of Tablet PCs sold through their online store.

Consumers are now required to pay the full price of Tablets. This is similar to how Verizon offers the iPad on their network.

Tablet PCs are hard to sell through the subsidized route because consumers do not want to get tied with the device for a period of two years.

Most consumers prefer to buy Tablets with prepaid 3G connections.
