Verizon is finally rolling out Google Android Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone on their network.

Google has of course already released updates for the GSM edition globally. I received the update on my own unit months ago.

The company said:

The Galaxy Nexus by Samsung is the first smartphone on the Verizon Wireless network to be upgraded to the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system (OS). For a limited time, the software upgrade will be pushed out in phases over Wi-Fi only.
