Verizon sort of claims that Samsung locked Galaxy S III bootloader on their network
@ScottColeBCS I’m sorry for any frustration. However, the Bootloader is locked per the Manufacturer. We cannot comment on other providers^EW

Verizon support guys have made an interesting tweet which seems to portray that it was Samsung’s decision to lock the bootloader of Galaxy S III sold through their network.
This is surprising considering Samsung is very friendly to third party development community and their phones usually have an unlocked bootloader. Verizon on the other hand is known to lock devices sold through their network to stop users from removing their own bundled apps from the phones.
