Verizon has pretty much confirmed that they are in talks with Nokia for a possible tie-up.

If the deal goes through, we might see Verizon launching the CDMA editions of the Nokia Lumia devices running Windows Phone 8 platform.

AT&T is pretty much confirmed to launch Nokia Lumia 920 and possibly Lumia 820 in the US market on their network later this year.

Nokia needs Verizon deal more than Verizon needs them. Verizon already has the Apple iPhone and tons of Google Android devices like the recently launched Galaxy S III. The new iPhone would be announced later this week and should be on sale before the new Lumia devices arrive in the US market. They are already selling the Galaxy S III which has become the bestselling model for Samsung as it has already sold more than 20 million units globally.
