Airtel recently announced that they would start reissuing mobile numbers that have not been used in the last two months.
Vodafone India is now going to follow a similar policy. A number would be put on sale if it has not been used to make a call or send a text in the last 60 days.
This limit has generally been more generous at around six months.
Mobile operators in India have been struggling with the lack of mobile numbers allocated to them. Indian department of telecom now issue new numbers to companies based on the number of active subscribers on their network.
