The Washington Post has confirmed they have hired Digg developers
The Washington Post has confirmed that their SocialCode division has hired around 15 developers from the engineering team at Digg.
We have already heard rumors about this in the past though it was originally believed that the company had acquired the social bookmarking service.
The Washington Post spoke about the deal:
This agreement marks the first of many planned moves, fueling SocialCode’s commitment to innovation and delivering leading-edge solutions to our clients.
Digg has not commented on the new developments. Co-Founder Kevin Rose has already moved on and is currently working at Google.
