Facebook acquires WhoGlue

Facebook has made another smallish acquisition. They have acquired the networking tools and the stakes of around 10 shareholders in the company named WhoGlue.

WhoGlue Founder Jason Hardebeck did not reveal the financial details of this acquisition. He did say that he retain some of the trademarks related to the brand and one of the products named WhoWare which would continue to remain available to the users.

He would also continue to run the company as WhoGlue LLC.

WhoGlue first made news when they filed a lawsuit against Facebook back in 2009 for patent violation. Looks like Facebook made this acquisition for the patents and the related technologies to protect themselves in the future.
