Windows 8 on ARM would only support Internet Explorer
Microsoft has made an announcement that has already created a controversy on the web.
The company said that Windows 8 on ARM powered devices would not support third party browsers. Users would get access to Internet Explorer.
Mozilla has already posted a blog post criticizing this move. Google is supporting Mozilla in this case. Opera for now has not made any statement.
Mozilla and Google have both announced that they are working on Metro optimized builds of Firefox and Chrome respectively. They would work on Windows 8 running on desktops powered by regular Intel and AMD processors.
