Microsoft has now confirmed that they are on track to release a public beta of their next edition of Windows operating system in February next year.

They have already released a public preview of Windows 8 which was received well by testers and general public.

Windows 8 is going to be a major update from the company as the OS for the first time features a new user interface named Metro optimized for Tablet PCs.

Windows 8 would also be the first edition of Windows to support ARM processors as the company aims to take on the iPad in the Tablet PC market.
