Microsoft has reported that Windows 8 Consumer Preview is being used by twice the number of people who used the beta of Windows 7.
Windows 8 Consumer Preview was released recently as a free download and anyone with a decent system configuration can test it out.
There are some major user interface changes in Windows 8… Microsoft has removed the start button and metro user interface has been added along with the classic desktop.
A lot of people are not comfortable with the metro UI on a regular desktop/laptop without a touchscreen display but for now it looks certain that Microsoft would not provide an offer to disable it at all.
