Windows 8 to feature a portable edition named Windows To Go

Microsoft showcased a portable edition of Windows 8 which they have named Windows To Go.

Windows To Go is installed on a portable USB drive. It can be used to access your Windows 8 installation along with software and data on third party computers.

Microsoft said that it can also be used on machines running older editions like Windows 7.

This feature is likely to be offered to corporate customers who would get the ability to access their data on the move. Remains to be seen if regular consumers would also get this feature.
