Windows Live Mesh would be shut down in February 2013

Microsoft has announced that they would shut down their Windows Live Mesh service next year in February.

Users of Windows Live Mesh have until then to sync and backup their content. The company is advising these users to migrate to newer solutions like SkyDrive.

Windows Live Mesh enabled users to share their data across a variety of platforms before Microsoft created and launched SkyDrive.

Based on comments, users are not amused as Live Mesh offer much more flexibility and functionality compared to Skydrive.
