Windows Mobile Marketplace shutting down in May this year!

Microsoft has finally decided that they are going to discard app support for users of their older Windows Mobile platform users.

The company has announced that the Windows Mobile Marketplace would be shut down in May this year.

Users would no longer be able to download and update their apps from this app store.

The platform of course supports installation from external sources so things are not that bad.

Users of Windows Mobile platform would probably get annoyed at this move considering Windows Phone platform is not even two years old. But the fact remains… They still have the ability to use third party sources for their dose of apps. The community is still pretty active.
