Windows Phone is not helping Nokia yet
Nokia has posted a net loss of Euro 1.07 billion in the fourth quarter of last year.
The sales for the company were down by around 21% as Nokia sold fewer smartphones.
Nokia switched to Windows Phone last year from Symbian as their primary smartphone OS.
There were major delays in the launch which hurt the company. they are now selling two Lumia branded models which are not doing very well.
Nokia is set to launch a third model in the coming weeks which is expected to be targeted at the premium segment of the market. That is not going to generate the required sales.
The company however looks optimistic as they prepare to launch more phones this year. things could change by the end of the year but the signs are not very positive right now.
