WordPress.com developers have revealed their new default theme. They have named it Twenty Twelve.

This is the third theme in this series after Twenty Ten and Twenty Eleven.

Twenty Twelve would ship with the next major update of WordPress.

Starting with a thoughtfully crafted mobile-first layout, Twenty Twelve is intended to be viewed on any size device from smartphones and tablets up to the latest and greatest HiDPI/retina screens. No matter how your readers decide to visit, it’ll remain usable and good-looking.

It is already available to users using WordPress.com as their blogging engine. It would soon be available for self-hosted blog users.
