WordPress.com has been rolling out updates to improve their Gallery feature for a while now.

We get a major new update today. They have added new Tiled Galleries format.

This new view creates a mosaic layout for the photos which is similar to how Microsoft SkyDrive and Google Plus use for displaying photos on their platforms.

The developers said:

Photos can add life to your blog and be the catalyst for getting a message across to your readers. Today, we launched new options for our WordPress.com galleries that allow you to create elegant magazine-style mosaic layouts for your photos–without having to use an external graphic editor.
