Yahoo confirms they are investigating hack that leaked passwords

Yahoo has now confirmed that they are investigating the hack on their Yahoo Voices platform that resulted in a leak of account details of more than 420,000 accounts.

The company said in a statement:

We are currently investigating the claims of a compromise of Yahoo! user IDs.

Yahoo added that they cannot confirm which section of their web platform was compromised. The company said that they advise their users to change their passwords on a regular basis.

This sounds like terrible news for millions of Yahoo users out there.
